Terms of use

These terms cover the use of the Survey Software Suite programs made by Kleboe Tech Solutions Ltd ("we", "us"). By downloading, trying or buying the software you agree to them. If you buy for a company, "you" means that company.

1. The software

Survey Software Suite is a set of Windows programs for offshore survey work: DraftLight - Vessel Shape, String Format Manager, The SV Profiler, C-O Check, ROV C-O Check, The Offset Manager, The Survey Simulator, The Runline Generator, The Touchdown Monitor, The Survey Log, The Mobiliser, The Multibeam Logger and The Metrologist (when it is released), together with any new programs we add to the set. The Survey Calculator is free and is not part of the paid licence.

2. Free trial

Each program can be used free for 48 hours from the first time it is opened on a PC, with everything working. After that a licence key is needed to keep using it. Please don't try to reset or get around the trial.

3. The licence

• A licence lasts 1 year from the date of purchase.
• One licence key unlocks every Survey Software Suite program on up to 4 PCs. Programs added to the set during your licence year are included.
• The programs check the key online from time to time. They keep working without internet for up to 30 days at a time; after that, connect to the internet once to carry on.
• Updates released during the licence year are included.
• When the licence ends, the programs return to needing a key. Your own files (projects, reports and exports) are always yours and stay on your PC.
• To move the licence to a different PC, or to add more PCs, email sales@kleboetech.co.uk.

4. What you may not do

• Share, publish, sell or give away your licence key, or use it on more PCs than the licence allows.
• Copy, change, decompile or reverse-engineer the programs, or remove or get around the licence check.
• Rent, resell or redistribute the programs, except passing on the free trial downloads unchanged.

We may disable a key that is being used against these terms.

5. Checking your results

The programs are tools to help a competent surveyor. You are responsible for checking the data you put in and the results, reports and files that come out before relying on them for operations, navigation, construction or any other decision. Please try each program during the trial to make sure it suits your work.

6. Warranty and liability

We take care to make the software work as described in its user manual. If it doesn't, tell us and we'll fix it, or refund you as set out in the refund policy.

Apart from that, and as far as the law allows, the software is provided as it is. We are not liable for loss of data, loss of profit, downtime, vessel or project costs, or any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability to you is limited to the price you paid for the licence. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

7. Buying

Orders are processed by our online reseller, Lemon Squeezy, who is the merchant of record for the sale. They take the payment, charge any VAT or sales tax, and email your licence key and receipt. Their own buyer terms also apply to the payment.

8. Changes

We may update these terms, for example when new programs are added. The version on this page at the time you buy applies to that purchase.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the law of the part of the United Kingdom in which Kleboe Tech Solutions Ltd is registered, and its courts have jurisdiction.
